foodcouture goes to bali (part 1)

Having a short trip to Bali was really like going to heaven in a blink of eye. Yes, it was short, very short period. The intention of going there was not to enjoy playing the water sports nor swimming, but to try new places that are not available in jakarta.

I was really surprised (or amazed is the right word, perhaps?) with the enlarging numbers of many new hype places in Bali, let's name some such as Rock Bar, Karma Kandara, El Kabron, etc. Those places are really very beautiful and yet the beaches are very clean and you really feel like in paradise.

For our first stop, it is Nasi Pedes Ibu Andika. For any spicy-food lovers, this a must stop-by place to go!!! Don't ask me about the spicy level, it can drive u mad haha

PLEASE NOTE that: yes, I was still very fair at that moment, yet the next few hours I was burned as the weather was really pretty hot. My choice of bringing my yellow cambridge satchel was really a good decision, to bright up my outfit-of-the day for that looks. :)


Next stop: Karma Kandara --> sophisticated, glamorous and exotic place that should be put on the A-list. The beach is really unordinary! Clean, with blue-greenish water surface and you can see it from the restaurant.

YOLO, Santouka Ramen.

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE shorten as YOLO, is one of the most common words being used nowadays in any sentence. Well, I don't know who found out this word yet popularize it, but I think that is a cool one. Well, as YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, I realized that I should have fun while I have the time to do it and keep me occupied to enjoy my life :)

Hanging out with friends, is one of my routines in the weekends. Sometimes, I hang out with folks and sisters, but mostly I spend the time with my beloved bffs. As yesterday was a weekend, my friends and I decided to try the ramen restaurant for a change in Plaza Indonesia, Santouka Ramen. This ramen reminds me of IPPUDO that opens its branches in Singapore. let's jump to the picture sections to see the menus ;)

 natto! YIKES... I dont like it, very disappointing! I used to feel curious of how it tastes, and yet a disappointment that I received. I wonder how Sinchan (a cartoon fellow) could endure the smell of natto as it is one of his fav food everytime I read the comic. hahaha.

 Kara rame, hot spicy pork belly ramen, and I love it! I love the noodle texture and the soup. Reminds me of IPPUDO in Singapore. But the food costs me for Rp 73.000 for a small bowl. Very expensive and yet the taste worth the high price!

Honestly, I only like the ramen, and the rest of the food didn't satisfy me. Well, the price is very expensive and they should have given us better quality of food.

Sweet tongue

ICE CREAM. it has become one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" moments to eat ice cream when it is scorching hot. YES! Summer is here ! yay ~ it means that all of my friends are coming back for vacations. I have been receiving lots of souvenirs from one of my friends, as she brought me home lots and lots of butter fingers. (I will upload the photo).
Due to the "support" from the hot weather, I have been eating ice-cream quite frequently. haha, I definitely need a 50-times sit up after eating them.
I am so glad that my fellows are coming back one by one, it's been forever that i haven't seen them in a whileeeeee.....

Seriously, nobody can beat my love for this butter finger! Everyone seems to love desserts and cakes and ice creams, I do too. However, when it comes to the best snack, butterfinger is one of my top lists! Thank you to my friend who has brought this home far away from USA, love you :*

This summer is different that any summer before, because so many things have taught me and I always learn something new. The lessons that I receive really change me a lot to become more responsible and matured in taking any decisions. I am somehow happy with my life now and I hope it will last longer.

Spring/Summer Wishlist

SPRING/SUMMER. summer is on its way, and cherry blossoms are blooming everywhere. Loving the kind of scent that comes from this spring, even tho we don't have it here in Jakarta. However, I can see all the happiness that bloom during this season. The weather is kinda lovely nowadays, with the heavy rain coming down, but eliminates the traffic that is going on (one of Jakarta's regular routines during rainy days).
Today's post is about the wishlist that I have set up for this upcoming May. there are many lists that I still have wanted for such a long time. But I don't want to be spoiled with all those things unless if I really want it, I would either buy it on my own or ask my father's kindness. Well, I am NOT a spoiled brat afterall.

So these are the wishlists that I have really wanted. Well I know it is too many, but I hope that I could get one of these soon ^^ (have to save and earn more money of course). 

If I were to ask to choose one of these, that would be a hard core decision.
